PTFE coated Fasteners
Introduction
PTFE coated Fasteners reduces the friction during use and reuse, it has brilliant anti- corrosive properties and increases the usage life of Fasteners. PTFE coated fastener’s provides exceptional corrosion resistance, low coefficient of friction, consistent tensioning and subsequent ease of installation and removal.Extensive testing and field use have proven that the future of coated fastener’s lies with Fluoropolymer coatings. Previously hot dip, galvanized, cadium or zinc plated fastener’s were considered the standard. But these coatings could not stand up to the corrosive atmospheres prevalent in many industries. The most widely used application is on B7 studs with 2H nuts. Dramatic improvements in efficiency, life expectancy and corrosion resistance are claimed to be imparted to Nut and Bolt connectors by the application of a low friction PTFE coating. PTFE coated connectors have out-performed all others in aggressive any noticeable effect. All the material used for Manufacturing is tested for chemical & mechanical properties. The Results are confirmed to meet original material requirement before processing.
Application
PTFE Coated Fasteners have a well established reputation of doing brilliantly in the corrosive atmospheres prevalent in offshore oil and gas, offshore rigs & platforms, shipping, chemical, pharmaceutical, deep sea drilling, shipping, and marine, and power, and nuclear, electronic petrochemical, fluid.
Why use PTFE Coating
PTFE is non-stick, non-toxic self-lubricating and non-wetting,. It has brilliant anti-corrosive properties, superior heat resistant and has cryogenic constancy. All these properties of PTFE Coating creates a long term advantage for a PTFE user.
